Thanks for the translation Freyr. It is indeed a very touching documentary, I wish I could see the whole thing! Unfortunately youtube only has half of the documentary.

Katinka, thanks for sharing this! This is amazing!!! The documentary is in Spanish and it is VERY touching. I have translated it for you in case you don't speak Spanish:
“Paul Nabor is a man that is more than an artist, he plays since he was -I don’t know- 15 years. He plays the guitar and has played all his life. He has written so many songs that he already does not remember them anymore. He lived in his town Punta Gorda, attending his temple and he never even imagined that he would leave the town to record an album. And what happened was a big phenomenon; he recorded the album and immediately the song Naguya Nei became a total success.

“Beloved Brother, when I leave this world, my children will bring a music band to my funeral. What most worries me are my children. Beloved Brother, I am ill. …A music band at my funeral… I turn and turn in my bed. …A music band at my funeral… All my family is with me. …A music band at my funeral…”

Paul Nabor: “There are 2 kind of people. Black and white. And we are equal, because … we came from those 2 men and when you cut yourself with a knife what will come out?”
Man in the hammock:“Red blood.”
Paul Nabor (pointing at cameraman): “If he cuts himself what will come out?”
Man in the hammock: “hahaha, also red.”
Paul Nabor: “Very good. We are equal. The difference is that we are black and they are white.”

Paul Nabor just wanted to compose a song for the funeral of his sister. This way Naguya Nei was born. What happened afterwards is already part of the history of his album Paranda. But that history started on one certain day: the day that Belizean musician Andy Palacio got Ivan Duran acquainted with a song of Paul Nabor.
