I think I know where I want to go now Roatan has beautiful beaches, a huge barrier reef, and cheap food and lodgings? Can't lose there!

It was many many years ago, in 1996 we stayed on utila where we did a dive course. From there someone brought us to Water Key, a tiny island with nothing more than coconut palms. We snorkeled all day in the amazing reef surrounding the island and spend a night in the hammock before the fisherman came to pick us up agian... Great experience!

a night in a hammock? Haha, I've only ever used them for photo ops, I've never actually slept in one. How's it compare to a bed?

well, the first night(s) is pretty awful. you really need to get used to sleeping in a hammock. but once you get the hang of it it is actually nice. it is much fresher in hot places and the rocking is great! you should try for fun...!

It takes you couple of days to really adapt yourself to hammocks, but once you do it is better for your body tan sleeping in a bed. I must say is like learning how to ride a bike, once you master it you can stop from doing it for many years but you will always remember how to do it. Hammocks also gives you lot of freedom, you can carry a light hammock with you at your backpack and sleep wherever you can hang it.

Honduras is one of the tourist place and I am glad that I ma soon traveling there with my friends for a holiday tour..
