My Favourite place in Guatemala would be Panajachel, I loved the vibrant colors and folklore of the small town. I also have been dying to go to Tikal but unfortunately last time I went to Guatemala we did not have enough days to cover everything we wanted to do. Whats yours?

I really like San Marcos la Laguna close to Panajachel. You get there by boat from Pana, it s a very cosy town with little streets, lots of green, in the mountains, super nice. Nevertheless I have a very hard time deciding on my favourite place in Guatemala. I really like Lanquin floting down the river on innertubes; I love the Peten and its Mayan ruins too!

Hi I think "freyr" is right about choosing the best place at Guatemala. I love so much the Peten (Tikal, Yaxha, Nakum, the rivers, lagoons), but the highlands are also great and more colorful.
